Angie Vilca Jaramillo
FIELD ORGANIZER APPRENTICE, THE CONNECTICUT PROJECT
Angie serves as an Organizer Apprentice at TCP, where she focuses on recruiting, engaging, and training community members while supporting the development of new leaders. She also coordinates and leads community canvasses, ensuring strong outreach and meaningful participation.
Angie has been a Canvass Lead in the Connecticut project. In that role, she strengthened her skills in door‑to‑door engagement, guided her team to meet daily goals, and provided hands‑on training to canvassers.
Why do you do “the work?”
I do this work because I believe in the power of people. I believe in the impact that organized communities can have, but above all, I organize to remind people that their voices and stories matter. Everyone deserves to be heard, and everyone has the right to shape the future of their community.
